IRF launches road safety blog
For Immediate Release: December 1, 2007
With online technology providing numerous platforms for discussion and networking, the International Road Federation (IRF) launched its first ever blog to discuss road safety issues. The blog, titled Road Safety Matters is a place to announce upcoming road safety events, introduce new concepts and products and present challenges for other road safety experts.
A blog, a combination of the words web and log, is a website where entries are written and posted for users to read and comment on, providing instant feedback.
"The purpose of this blog is to examine, discuss and publicize pressing road safety issues and current developments and trends in the road safety industry," said Mike Dreznes, IRF Deputy Director General, Safety and Training. "This is an exciting new format for road safety professionals to discuss and exchange ideas and concepts regarding road safety."
