Deadline Extended - IRF Third LARC Call for Papers

The deadline for abstract submissions for the Third IRF Latin America Regional Congress has been extended to May 14, 2010 to allow more time for submitters to prepare submissions. The Third Latin American Regional Congress will be held September 20 – 23, 2010 in Bogotá, Colombia.

The abstract should include the objectives and the aim of the study, description of the techniques or methods used and a presentation of the results or conclusions in an informative and concise manner.

Content

The abstract should include the objectives and the aim of the study, description of the techniques or methods used and a presentation of the results or conclusions in an informative and concise manner. The congress will include presentations from the topics of road safety, pavement performance, Intelligent Transportation Systems, financing and tunneling. Other topics related to the road industry will also be discussed.

Abstracts are due no later than May 14, 2010.

Format

  • Languages: The official language of the congress is Spanish, but abstracts will be accepted in English.
  • Length of abstract: Maximum of two paragraphs (or half page).
  • Font size: 12 point

Structure of Abstract

  • TITLE OF WORK (centered, black, all caps)
  • Name(s) of the author(s), title, organization, mailing address, telephone, email address and fax number.
  • Text of abstract

Submission

The abstract should be submitted before May 14, 2010 in one of the following ways:

The first two days of the congress will consist of the themed tracks mentioned above, with the last two days of the congress consisting of smaller, technical ancillary workshops as part of an overall IRF training certification program.

An exhibition will also be showcased which will include upwards of 20-30 companies highlighting their products and services.
