Bill Keppler hired to head IRF-Washington government affairs and events

William (Bill) E. Keppler has joined the International Road Federation-Washington (IRF-Washington) as the Director of Government Affairs and Events. In this role, Keppler will lead IRF-Washington’s global initiatives to create and foster relationships with public sector agencies and multilateral development organizations and identify associated opportunities. Keppler will also direct, plan and manage IRF-Washington’s events, including its Regional Congresses.

"Bill brings to IRF his impeccable credentials as a key U.S. Government civil servant and career diplomat overseeing the planning and organization of significant international events. We look forward to leveraging his expertise dealing with government agencies world-wide," said Patrick Sankey, president & CEO, IRF-Washington.

Keppler honed his international expertise and diplomatic skills while serving in many diverse positions - both in the United States and overseas - encompassing international trade, public and legislative affairs, protocol and international events, and executive management. His overseas postings include Thailand, Brazil, Switzerland, and the Philippines, as well as temporary tours of duty in more than 40 countries on six continents. He had the privilege of providing direct support to three U.S. Presidents, and served on the staff of six Secretaries of State.
