Troxler and Dreznes appointed to senior positions in IREF

International Road Educational Foundation (IREF) Chairman Jeff Reed, President of Valley Slurry Seal Company, Hickman, Calif., has appointed Billy Troxler, President & Chairman of the Board, Troxler Electronic, Triangle Research Park, NC, as chairman of the IRF Fellowship Allocation Committee; and Mike Dreznes, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Barrier Systems, Rio Vista, Calif., as chairman of the IRF Fellows Alumni Association (IFAA).

In his new role, Troxler will oversee the Committee – made up of international judges from academia, private sector firms, and government agencies – that decides which applicants will receive the IRF Fellowship awards each year.

Previously, Troxler was the chairman of the IFAA, a position he held for two years. As chairman, Troxler organized several Fellows Reunion events while finding the whereabouts of hundreds of Fellows that IRF had lost contact with over the decades. He hands over a strong and well-working Association for new IFAA chairman Dreznes.

As chairman of the IFAA, Dreznes will follow Troxler’s example by continuing to establish activities and programs which recognize the outstanding achievements of IRF Fellows, while continuing to bring Fellows together to share experiences and enjoy camaraderie, and provide potential opportunities for Fellows to continue their education.

The IRF Fellowship Program for graduate engineers and transportation managers has been a cornerstone in the work of the International Road Federation since 1949. The Program provides a one-time grant toward the costs of university graduate study in fields related to the development of better and safer roads and road networks worldwide. To date, 1, 180 students from 115 countries have attended 90 different universities in 13 countries.
