IRF IRF-Washington and IRF-Brussels Endorse EN 1317 and NCHRP 350 for Worldwide UseIRF-Washington and IRF-Brussels have announced their support of mandating the use of roadside safety features that meets state of the art testing for today's vehicle fleet on every road around the world. The EN1317 and the NCHRP 350 criterion have proved to be very effective. Allowing products that meet either criterion will give the local road authorities more product options thereby reducing project costs. Purdue University Professors Publish New TextbookIRF-Washington Board members, Kumares Sinha, Olson Distinguished Professor, and Samuel Rabi, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Purdue University have published a new book titled "Transportation Decision Making: Principles of Project Evaluation and Programming". The 576-page text book, which the Journal of Transportation Engineering called "...an excellent resource...well-written and organized.", provides a holistic approach to decision making in transportation project development and programming.
