IRF-Washington Holds Four Days of Safer Roads by Design^TM Seminars

More than 200 engineers and road authorities attended IRF-Washington's Safer Roads by Design^TM seminars held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, and Qatar May 18 - 22. These one-day training seminars were designed to introduce the audience to the state-of-the-are concepts and best practices being used around the world to reduce the severity of the inevitable accidents that will occur on every road in the world.

Safety Belts on School Buses

In the latest Road Safety Matters post, IRF examines the different views on how best to keep children safe on school buses. The National Highway Transportation Administration (NHTSA) claims seat belts will not make children any safer while the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) claims that current "compartmentalization" methods are not sufficiently safe and as a result, children are being injured and killed.
