BlinkerSigns: Smart Signs, Brilliant LEDs
TAPCO’s patented BlinkerSigns are a revolutionary development of solar-powered traffic signs that utilize flashing super-bright Luxeon™ Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and 3M™ DG3 reflective sheeting for maximum conspicuity. These eco-friendly signs are self-powered so they need no electric service, and they can be installed anywhere without the need for expensive trenching and wiring. They can be installed onto new or existing posts in a matter of minutes, and are ITS compatible with many control devices. Optional 110V systems are available if desired. BlinkerSigns are MUTCD compliant, and are available in your choice of legend.
TAPCO understands that visible road signs fulfill a need in traffic safety. In critical situations where motorists need timely recognition of a traffic sign – day and night, rain or shine, even during power outages – BlinkerSigns fulfill the demand.
V-LOC Permanent Sign/Mailbox Anchors
TAPCO manufactures crashworthy V-Loc Anchors, permanent post anchors for earth, asphalt or concrete. These NCHRP350 and AASHTO-approved devices do not extend above ground level, so they minimize the potential for vehicle damage and personal injury. They conform to the new standards required for FHWA compliance of breakaway sign supports.
V-Locs survive vehicle knock-downs and allow a new post to be re-installed in a matter of a minute or two. Installation is quick and easy: simply drive in a unique wedge to secure a new post. The reduced time spent on initial installation and re-installation decreases the chance of worker injury.
