Wyco Tool Company
In 1921 Andrew Wyzenbeek organized a group of engineers to form the Wyzenbeek & Staff Company, and by 1929 his company was fully dedicated to the production of flexible shaft machines and power tools for the industrial market. The flexible shaft with offset bearings was an innovative concept, and Wysenbeek utilized this principle in a number of products, from fish scalers to concrete vibrators.
Wyzenbeek began the production of gas-powered vibrators in 1941.
In 1962, Wyco, as the company became known, received a patent on its Square HeadTM vibrator design, the patent awarded for consolidation efficiency. The concept was further supported by conclusions of the IIT Research Institute (IITRI) of Chicago.
In 1970, Wyco introduced the world's first hydraulic concrete vibrator for use on concrete paving equipment.
In 1971, Wyco was purchased by Racine Federated Inc., a private manufacturing company under the leadership of John Erskine Sr.
With the introduction of its high cycle vibrator in 1975 and its pneumatic vibrator in 1977, Wyco developed a core family of internal concrete vibration products that continues to this day.
The first portable gas vibrator was unveiled in 1981, and in 1986 Wyco introduced the first UL/CSA approved concrete vibrator, the first of its kind to meet OSHA standards.
In 1994 the hydraulic concrete vibrator was dynamically redesigned to meet changing mix standards for the pavement industry. Wyco worked closely with specifying agencies to develop placement standards ultimately adopted for highway and runway construction. Wyco also introduced the smart vibrator system, a PC application for continuous vibrator monitoring on hydraulic pavers.
In 2004, Wyco introduced the first full-powered adjustable speed high cycle vibrator capable of meeting all placement requirements for bridge construction.
Today, Wyco continues to monitor mix and material compatibilities in the concrete industry, and the dynamics of placement by vibration. Wyco's people are proud of the company's long history, and they are excited to continue the company's tradition of innovation, for their industry and for their customers.

Advanced Drivers of America, INC
The aim of Advanced Drivers of America, Inc., is to highlight the massive benefits of enhanced driving standards and, importantly, to reinforce people's enjoyment of driving.
We encourage all drivers to improve their skills and safety through genuine advanced driver training.
The courses and qualifications we offer will always be of equal standard to the best-available, public-road driver training in the world, and in terms of reducing the risk of crash involvement will dramatically outweigh the many inferior yet so-called advanced driving courses that are currently available in North America (in other words, courses that do not meet the standards outlined in the definition of advanced driving that is viewable here). Our confidence in this claim is based on the fact that the "System of Car Control" method has been continually refined for more than 70 years (i.e. since 1935) by and for the traffic police in Britain, whose reputation as world leaders in safe road driving is indisputable.
It is our objective to provide authoritative advice, definitive standards and the highest levels of driver training and assessment. The overriding goal is to maximize safety for all participating drivers, for public roads in North America. This will be achieved by following global best practice, by virtue of our own, long-term expertise in this field, and by developing strong relationships with all appropriate bodies

CIDAUT
CIDAUT (Research and Development Center in Transport & Energy), was created in 1993, with the objective of coordinating and channeling the research potential of the University of Valladolid, as well as actively contributing to the needs of companies in the automotive sector, thus enhancing both their competitiveness and industrial development.
From the Technological Park in Boecillo (Valladolid), CIDAUT foments the use of technology, design and the manufacture of new products, as well as creating advanced programs for improving the industrial process as a whole.
To reach their objective, CIDAUT has developed an innovative work plan which involves the meticulous development of each and every stage of product development from the conception of a new idea, selection and analysis of materials, simulation activities, processing, prototype design and pre-industrialization tasks, to the final validation of the product.
CIDAUT has a special link with the University of Valladolid as well. This link consists of a close collaboration in the design and initiation of the lines of technological research in the Center. The University furnishes personnel for the development of technological investigative lines, who participate actively in CIDAUT projects. This contribution of qualified expert research workers to the development of activities in the different lines of R+D+i in CIDAUT affords a competitive edge and contributes to the level of confidence consolidation with our partners and industrial clients.
On 1st January 2000, CIDAUT became a R+D+i Foundation with thirteen industrial partners. This change has increased the activities of R+D+i remarkably. The results of these activities are considered as a point of reference in the Science-Technology-Business system.
CIDAUT is composed of four buildings and a laboratory test track for carrying out road barrier tests in Mojados (a short distance from the main installations in the Boecillo Science Park) with a constructed surface area of 14,500 m2 and an investment in equipment close to 26 million euros.
The principal objective of the Foundation is to nurture the competitiveness and the industrial development of the companies in the automotive sector, thus enabling them to develop new products and processes. In order to realize this objective, the Foundation promotes scientific investigation, technological development and innovation applicable to industry in general and to the transport and energy sectors in particular.
The working plan revolves around three fundamental activities: Investigation and Technological Development, Technological Services and Specialized Training. The R+D+i section is divided into the areas of Transport Safety, Product-Process-Materials; and Energy and Environment.
