Our company, with more than 100.000 sq. meters, is located in the Northern part of Spain, in the province of Asturias, right next to Spain’s most important steel manufacturer (Aceralia), to the biggest zinc producer, and just 5 km away from the seaport of Avilés. Besides, our factory has a by-pass train lane with our own means of transport and a great vehicle fleet of several heavy road vehicles for the transportation of raw material and finished products.
Our main activity is focused on steel manufacturing, providing products such as concrete-reinforcing bars, steel sheets, trapezoidal profiles, steel enclosures, flooring, welded tubes, road security barriers, noise screens, laser beam-cut pieces, etc. In order to accomplish these activities, HIASA has the most modern production and control systems, and the most advanced technologies, which enables us to offer this great diversity of products.
HIASA has a production volume of more than 500.000 tons/ year of manufactured steel, which places it as one of the leading companies in its sector.
On a permanent basis, HIASA participates and encourages important R&D&I projects in the field of new technologies, as well as in the development of new products and the improvement of the already existing ones. This Research and Development effort attains its maximum importance in the field of road safety and building products.
