The group started out as a construction company established in 1975 by the late Hassan Mohamed Allam and is now among the leading contractors in the Egyptian market. In the 1990s the group began its real estate development activities in Egypt's North Coast and subsequently executed projects on the Red Sea Coast and in Cairo.
The industrial arm began in 1993 with an investment in a concrete pipe factory (National Pipe Company). In addition, the group owns a steel structure fabrication plant and is developing a number of other large scale projects including a cement plant in Beni Suef.

The company caters to both public and private sector clients and has executed numerous projects in diverse fields.
