WATERBORNE TRAFFIC PAINT
Ennis Paint manufactures a wide range of high solids waterborne traffic paint, which performs equally well on both new concrete and asphalt. Our waterborne traffic paint is a non-flammable, lead free, fast drying paint that is available in all colours and is usually categorized by dry time and film thickness. Normally, all the waterborne traffic paints are low VOC products.
There are three standard lines of waterborne paint that are manufactured and stocked at each of Ennis Paint's plants. Each product has specific features designed for different preferences and applications. All three of the standard product lines have been formulated so that the yellow paints closely resemble the standard chrome yellow color.
- EP Series - meets performance of TTP-1952B & 1952D; viscosity = 75KU to 85KU; no track time = <10mins; dry hard time = <20mins; recommended for use on roads and at airports
- Hi Build - meets performance of TTP-1952B & 1952D; viscosity = 85KU to 95KU; no track time = <10mins; dry hard time = <30mins; recommended for use on high-traffic roads, at crossroads and airports
- ECO Series - viscosity = 70KU to 80KU; no track time = <20mins; dry hard time = <40mins; recommended for use on low-traffic roads and parking lots
SOLVENTBORNE TRAFFIC PAINT
Ennis Paint's solventborne traffic paint is available in hi and low viscosity chlorinated rubber, fast and regular dry alkyd, and regular and Low VOC acrylic copolymer. These fast-drying traffic paint materials are ideal for marking highways, parking lots, crosswalks, stop bars and legends. These materials are classified as zone marking paints.
These traffic and parking lot paints are suitable for application on bituminous and concrete roadways. In particular, the products are recommended for street and parking lot applications with truck-mounted or walk-behind equipment. They provide excellent performance for parking lots which can only be closed for short periods of time.
THERMOPLASTIC ROAD MARKING MATERIAL
Ennis Paint thermoplastic materials are designed for exceptional durability on both asphalt and PCC substrates. Our thermoplastic products bond to PCC without the use of primer / sealer and still attain outstanding performance characteristics. These products provide the basis for a cost effective, highly visible pavement marking system.

- Hydrocarbon - excellent long line capability and value
- Multipurpose - can be sprayed or extruded, adding versatility to marking operations
- Permaline - provides excellent adhesion to concrete and aged asphalt without the use of a primer / sealer
- Thinline - ideal for refurbishing existing lines and for use in low traffic, rural areas
- Skid resistant - snowplow friendly and skid free on icy surfaces
- Profile - offers brilliant wet night visibility and auditory / vibratory warning of potentially dangerous lane drift
- No track - formulated to retain colors in areas with heavy dirt and oil
PREFORMED THERMOPLASTIC ROAD MARKING MATERIAL (FLAMETAPE)
Flametape is the answer for convenient installations of durable, brilliant line markings, and accurately pre-cut symbols and legends. This preformed thermoplastic was created to provide the ability to apply high performance road marking without the need of expensive equipment and a minimal work force.
In formulating Flametape, we have focused on three main factors: ambient temperature, concrete surfaces, and efficient application time. It can be applied with ease in near-freezing temperatures, making applications possible virtually all year round. This product eliminates the difficult task of bonding on concrete surfaces by making it primer / sealer free.
Our material is completely pre-beaded with superior glass beads that give high initial retro reflectivity that provides a bold day and night time reflectivity.
Flametape can be produced in virtually any custom color and project.
