For 91 years, CTLGroup has provided clients in the construction, transportation, minerals and related industries with a unique blend of engineering, testing and research services from its 120,000-sq-ft complex in Skokie, Illinois. The firm, which began as the research and development arm of the Portland Cement Association, started serving outside clients as an independent PCA subsidiary in 1987. Since then, CTLGroup has developed into a world-class resource for materials technology and civil and structural engineering.
Our staff of nearly 150 includes experienced professionals representing such disciplines as structural, civil, chemical, and mechanical engineering as well as material science, geology and chemistry. The multidisciplinary nature of our team of engineers and scientists enables us to provide clients worldwide with timely practical solutions, technical excellence and value. We conduct structural investigations, engineering, testing and analysis; evaluate designs and construction techniques; develop and manage rehabilitation and repair programs; design and install structural monitoring systems; provide litigation support; conduct nondestructive testing and evaluation; and troubleshoot construction and materials performance problems.
With 35,000 sq ft of laboratory space, CTLGroup has one of the world's most extensive facilities serving the construction industry. Our structural laboratory is one of the largest independent labs of its kind in the U.S. offering static and dynamic testing of full-scale structural elements and assemblies.
