KHARAFI NATIONAL, founded as, THE NATIONAL COMPANY FOR MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL WORKS LTD. was formed in 1976. In the following years the company expanded from a local contracting company to a world-class Pan Arab player in engineering, construction, maintenance and multidiscipline contractor with diversified operations in the following sectors: Commercial and Industrial, Petrolium, Chemical and Power, Water, Communications, and Environmental.
Resulting from the amalgamation of different disciplines, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, HVAC, Telecommunications etc, KHARAFI NATIONAL is one of the most integrated contractors in providing multifaceted engineering, construction and maintenance services to the petroleum, chemicals, power, water and commercial industries in the Middle East and Africa.
KHARAFI NATIONAL DUBAI and KHARAFI NATIONAL ABU DHABI were established respectively in 1995 and 1996, as a stand alone companies to operate in the local contracting industry.
Both the companies have acquired the leading edge classifications in the United Arab Emirates trough the successful execution of most prestigious projects in U.A.E.
The two companies execute mainly commercial and industrial projects both for the government and private sector, with a particular qualification in mechanical, electrical and plumbing
Al-IRAQ NATIONAL is the short and refence name of “ THE NATIONAL IRAQI GENERAL CONTRACTING COMPANY LTD “ , a wholly owned Iraqi company established in 2003 ,which is fully supported by KHARAFI NATIONAL , with the scope to become a major player in the construction industry in Iraq.
