Our unit is supplied all year long with Douglas Fir logs from our property or others forests in Normandy. Douglas Fir is our favourite specie : its worldwide acknowledged qualities allow us to market all our products with a firm guarantee of durability ... The logs are selected then milled to a perfect cylinder with a constant diameter from 8 to even 35 cm , which is unique in Europe. In order to meet our customers requirements, the round logs can be also drilled, bevelled, blunt or specifically shaped. Our workshop, equipped with a Finnish saw and a planer, is entitled to produce all types of boards as well as sound barriers and visuals panels. Except the “ Douglas Heart “ range, all our products are pressure treated in autoclave according to a computerized process and in conformity with standards in force.
A systematic control, carried out by an external body according to on site sampling method, help us to check permanently this operation’s efficiency. All wooden products pressure treated at Tertu’s facility wear a ten years guarantee.
