IRF Road Asset Management Task Force

Mission Statement

Managing of road assets in an efficient manner is an international concern that requires a combined worldwide effort to implement affordable, safer, and environmentally friendly practices. Sharing knowledge of the best road asset management practices is key toward the implementation of effective programs that will contribute to a sustainable economic growth and social development of a nation. With a large international network spanning 6 continents from the government, private industry, and academia, the IRF is in a unique position to capture and disseminate knowledge that will lead to sustainable Road Asset Management Programs.

It is the mission of the Road Asset Management Task Force to foster an international network of practitioners to share knowledge and contribute to the development of improved Road Asset Management Practices.

Objectives

  • Identify worldwide best road asset management practices
  • Learn from existing road asset management programs
  • Support an international network of practitioners for sharing and eliciting knowledge on Road Asset Management
  • Develop sub-task forces to focus on specific asset groups and current challenges
